The Faculty of Medicine Osijek is a scientific and teaching component of Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek , which organizes and conducts university studies and develops scientific and professional work in the scientific and educational fields of biomedicine, clinical medicine and public health. Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka
The roots of Rijeka's medical thought and tradition and the circumstances of the establishment of the Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka date back to ancient times. They are based on the works of Ivan Cambieri (Giovanni Battista Cambieri), Saveri Graziano , Antun Gjačić (Antonio Felice Giacich), Gjura Catti , Antun Grošić (Antonio Grossich), Lionello Lenz , Viktor Finderle , Valter Rukavina and others. The Faculty of Medicine in Rijeka was founded on July 12, 1955 . The reason for establishing the first medical faculty in Croatia outside of Zagreb was the overcapacity of the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb , where more and more students from Istria , Primorje , Gorski Kotar , and the surrounding regions were studying. In Rijeka, there was also a long tradition in the education of medical workers, so there were excellent prerequisites for the establishment of a medical faculty.

The School of Medicine in  Zagreb - The first requests to establish a medical studio in Croatia date back to 1790 . Despite everything, the first efforts to establish a medical faculty in Croatia can only be found in the middle of the second half of the 19th century . Namely, on January 13, 1874 , the Croatian Parliament promulgated the Legal Article on the Organization of the University of Francis Joseph I in Zagreb from January 5, 1874 , which established four faculties within the University : Faculty of Theology , Law and Political Science , Faculty of Philosophy and Faculty of Medicine.

The School of Medicine in Split is a medical school in Split, Croatia. It is part of the University of Split. The School of Medicine in Split is affiliated with the University Hospital Split, its major teaching hospital, as well as several other community sites. The school's mission is to link education, research and clinical care. Faculty of the School hold appointments in basic sciences in the Basic Science Building, located in Križine neighbourhood of Split, Croatia. The faculty also hold appointments in clinical departments located in multiple affiliated hospitals and institutions. The current Dean of the School is Professor Ante Tonkić, MD, PhD.

On October 12, 2004, the Croatian Bishops' Conference, on its 29th plenary session, held in Zadar, adopted a Decision on the Establishment of the Catholic University of Croatia. The decision stipulated that the founder of the university was to be the Archdiocese of Zagreb and its sponsor the Croatian Bishops' Conference.

The classes at the Catholic University of Croatia are provided in the undergraduate studies of history, psychology, sociology, communication sciences and nursing, in the graduate study in history, psychology, sociology and nursing, as well as integrated undergraduate and graduate university studies of medicine.

The mission of the Catholic University of Croatia is a continuous search for the truth through research, and the preservation and transfer of knowledge for the welfare of society.
